FRIDAY EVENING, AUGUST 11 

• 5-7:00 pm. Informal social at the St. Augustine Officers Club. Curator hosted tours of the Florida National Guard Museum.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 12

• 10:30 am. Tenth annual living-history commemoration of the 1842 parade and ceremony, St. Francis Barracks/St. Augustine National Cemetery. Organized by the West Point Society of North Florida. (Free, open to the public.)

• 12:00 pm. At Trinity Hall. A festive lunch.
• 1:00. Address by author Patsy West, “The Enduring Seminoles: Hard Times to hard Rock.”
• 2:15 – 4:40. Breakout sessions  –Research, publications, archaeology, Fort King, and Seminole culture/history.
• 2:15 – 3:15. Living-Historians’ workshop at the historic Ximinez-Fatio House.
• 7:00. Evening presentation by award-winning authors Mary Lou and John Missall, “St. Augustine Is healthy and delightful: Capt. John Rogers Vinton in the Second Seminole War.” (Free, open to the public)

SUNDAY MORNING 

• 9:00 am. At Marc Lance Armory. Breakfast buffet.
• 10:00. Breakout sesion reports, commentary, discussion.
• 11:15. The St. Augustine Historical Society, remarks by Executive Director.
• 11:30. Award presentation honoring Frank Laumer. Retrospective of         efforts to promote interest in Florida’s seminole Wars.
• 12:PM. Concluding remarks, comments on future Convocations.
