Dr. Gerson Yessin Music Series

The Dr. Gerson Yessin Music Series returns to the Ponte Vedra Library on Tuesday, October 17 with the Doug Matthews Jazz Trio featuring Doug on piano, Rick Ravelo on string bass, and Ricky Kirkland on drums. The concert starts at 6:30 and the doors open at 6:00. Seating is limited,

Doug has performed with Louie Bellson, Randy Brecker, Dizzy Gillespie, Branford Marsalis, James Moody, Percy Sledge, Dennis Yost and the Dynamic Les DeMerle Big Band.  He is an active composer and arranger, and several of his compositions and arrangements have been recorded by various artists. The group has performed together for over 20 years.

The concert is free and open to the public.

He is a familiar face at the Amelia Island Jazz Festival.
