Susan Strong at P.A.St.A. Fine Art Gallery

Susan Strong is the featured artist at P.A.St.A. Fine Art Gallery in St. Augustine for the month of February, 2017.  She has been painting and teaching art for over 30 years.  Botanical painting fits comfortably with her gardening interest and her long-time interest in botany and entomology.  She studied botanical painting at the Academy of Botanical Art in Sarasota, and has two watercolor paintings in the University of Minnesota Arboretum in Chaska, MN.

She will be exhibiting several new paintings and drawings.  You will be able to see the development of her ideas about composition as she draws and then paints the same subject, but refines the composition for the painting.  Come and see her beautiful Luna moth flying toward the Sweet Gum tree.  Come and enjoy the delicate early wild rose and a selection of different colored hibiscus.  She will also exhibit her oil painting of a banana flower.  For more information, please call 904-824-0251.
