The Kookaburra is an Aussie-American espresso bar and pie shop that prides itself on serving the most ethically sourced, best roasted, masterfully crafted, expertly prepared products with a smile and some flair.

The original Kookaburra opened its doors in 2012 at Cathedral Place in downtown St. Augustine. The concept was born out of family and community experiences and a desire to meld the best coffee and baked goods imaginable with world-class service. The 420-square-foot shop quickly became a community hub and allowed the expansion into the larger US 1 and SR 312 shop in 2014.

The efforts of its incredible staff and the support of our loyal customers made possible the opening of a third location at St. Augustine Beach, followed by The Kookaburra Roastery and their largest location south near Dondanville Road and A1A. In late 2020, Kookaburra moved its roasting facility and opened a fifth location on SR 207.

Today, the Kookaburra is a direct result of the wonderful people who have been involved in its development as employees, patrons, friends, and family. It is truly a product of its environment, and they couldn’t be more proud.

The mishmashed crew of highly trained and skilled misfits provides world-class customer service in a unique, atypical coffeehouse environment. Come and see what the buzz is about.

Crisp-Ellert Art Museum at Flagler College

crisp-ellertBuilt in honor of Dr. JoAnn Crisp-Ellert and her husband, Dr. Robert Ellert, the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum offers Flagler College students and the Northeast Florida community a venue for fostering knowledge and a deep appreciation of contemporary art. As an educational resource for the College, the Museum exhibits regional, national and international artists, and provides opportunities for critical engagement and exposure to a variety of exhibitions and personal interactions with visiting artists. The Museum challenges students, the Flagler community and the public to cultivate individual creativity, critical reflection, historical consciousness and respect for the free exchange of ideas. In this spirit, the Museum also hosts public programs, including artist talks, readings, panel discussions and film series that provide a platform for vital interdisciplinary dialogue.
