A Gatsby Carnival Fundraiser for SJCC

A Gatsby Carnival Fundraiser for SJCC

Presented by St. Johns Cultural Council at Lightner Museum

From vintage décor to performance entertainment, join the festivities and cavort without restraint all to benefit the St Johns Cultural Council on this unforgettable evening!

Volkswagen of St. Augustine is hosting its fourth annual “A Gatsby Carnival.” Guests are encouraged to get dressed in their finest 1920s attire. Two authentic, 1920s classic cars will be onsite as part of the marked circus entrance. There will be live music by Amy Hendrickson and the VooDoo Review, as well as local favorites Chelsea Saddler and Chris Kearns.

This year’s event will be held at the Lightner Museum, where a portion of the museum will be open with local thespians performing around you while you stroll through the various exhibits. To boot, a moonshine bar and craft cocktails will be present to accentuate the theme. There will also be a spread of heavy hors d’oeuvres and a welcome cocktail that will be included with entry. It’s all about the show this year at Gatsby, and it’s bigger and better than ever! So come and experience Lightner Museum like never before and remember…the circus is here today and gone tomorrow…

Over the last three years, the event has raised over $25,000 to benefit local charities. This year, all proceeds will go to support local non-profit, SJCC (St. Johns Cultural Council). SJCC is active throughout St. Johns County furthering visual, literary and performing arts for students, the elderly, and aspiring artists who may not otherwise have had the ability to expand their creative outlets. Volkswagen of St. Augustine owners, Joe & Sway DiFeo, are passionate about supporting local non-profits and are artists and musicians themselves. Since opening their doors in December of 2013, they have been able to contribute over $100,000 to local charities and continue to allocate an annual budget for community support and sponsorships.
