Carolyn Hayes Kelson is Featured Artist for March at P.A.St.A. Art Gallery
Carolyn Hayes Kelso is the March 2017 featured artist at P.A.St.A. Art Gallery in St. Augustine. She will be displaying work from her "Aqueous Collection." Carolyn is a retired fashion illustrator/graphic artist who started her focus on fine art only after moving from New York to St. Augustine in 1994. Her paintings are in private collections throughout the United States. Carolyn is known for her dunes paintings, tulip paintings and paintings of people. Her abstracts have been described as "not your ordinary watercolors" by the Florida Watercolor Society.
Carolyn is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, with a BFA in Illustration. She achieved signature status from the Florida Watercolor Society in 2004 and was named "JWS Artist of the Year for 2008" by the Jacksonville Watercolor Society.
She is a member of the St. Augustine Art Association, the Jacksonville Watercolor Society, the Florida Watercolor Society and P.A.St.A. Art Gallery. Her work was published in the International Artists Book 100 Ways to Paint Still Life & Florals, 2004.
