Since the Fall of 2014, Cynthia Pierson has been offering classes in pastel painting. Many of her students are residents of St Augustine, Palm Coast, Ponte Vedra and Jacksonville. Some are Snowbirds that return to class in the Fall and Winter months. Cynthia Pierson’s classes are held on Monday afternoons from 2 to 4 pm. She is the current President of The First Coast Pastel Society, a juried member of the Pastel Society of America, a member of the St Augustine Art Association, The Art Studio, the Pastel Society of North Florida, the Southeastern Pastel Society and the Portrait Society of America. Many of these artists will offer sales of their work, and will be attending our First Friday Art Walk Reception on April 7th.

The reception at The Art Studio of St. Augustine Beach will be held from 5:00pm-8:30pm. We are also delighted to have the St. Augustine Youth Orchestra  playing from 5:45pm-7pm.  Please plan to visit The Art Studio to meet Cynthia and some of her students!
The Art Studio is available to rent for classes or as meeting space. Membership is offered at just $20.00/year although it is not necessary to become a member to participate in any of the variety of classes offered. Our regular studio hours are Monday-Friday from 12:00 pm-4:00 pm. Please visit The Art Studio for a list of classes, events, and special hours.
