George Ellis: Featured Artist at P.A.St.A. Art Gallery

Presented by PAStA Fine Art Gallery at Professional Artists of St. Augustine (P.A.St.A.) Fine Art Gallery

The Professional Artists of St. Augustine (P.A.St.A.) Art Gallery will be featuring the work of George Ellis, a watercolorist artist who enjoys painting vintage and classic cars and motorcycles.  After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Dickinson College, he pursued a career in magazine publishing.  In 1999 he decided to return to the art world and chose cars as his subject.

Many years of building scale model cars helped Mr. Ellis learn the attention to detail required by this subject matter.  He found that the watercolor medium is perfect for capturing the many visual aspects of cars and motorcycles, and thanks to today's high-end digital printing technology, he can share his work in the form of fine art prints, available at www.georgeellis.com and at the P.A.St.A. Art Gallery in St. Augustine.

Mr. Ellis moved from New York to St. Augustine in 2015 and is now a resident of Lincolnville, where he maintains his studio.  His work is featured in several private collections, including the famous Sardi's Restaurant in New York City.  For the month of September, the Featured Artist exhibition at P.A.St.A. Art Gallery will showcase many of his original works from 2003 to the present.

The show's opening will coincide with the First Friday Art Walk.  The gallery is located at 214 Charlotte Street, St. Augustine.  For additional information please call 904-824-0251.  Always free.
