  • Sharon Goldman
    Sharon Goldman
Literature: Children's; Literature: Fiction; Literature: Other; Visual Arts: Illustration; Visual Arts: Painting
Sharon Goldman, a native Floridian and Fine Arts graduate of the University of Florida had a long career in the advertising business as an Art Director. After raising three children (now college graduates) she started a new career focusing on painting, teaching art classes, and writing and illustrating children’s books. She has also co-authored a romance novel and a musical with her sister. Sharon has been juried into more than 50 gallery shows including solo exhibitions, won numerous ribbons, and her art has been purchased by private collectors. Sharon’s style can be described as painterly realism. Her unique images, cropping, and use of light and shadow are key elements of her paintings. Her colorful palette and design background help her envision her novel compositions. Working from her own original photographs, she paints in both acrylics and oils. Sharon strives to create work that captures the spirit of Florida. The creative process is what gets her going in the morning and sometimes keeps her up at night while thinking about her next idea. Sharon and her husband Richard, a nature enthusiast, live in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. When time permits, he likes to fish in the backyard lagoon, while Sharon, phone in hand, is ready to capture the photo of his next giant bass. Of course, he throws it back. Sharon has written, illustrated, and published two children's books under her company Toolywoo Publishing: The Land of NO: A Story of Positivity When a new family moves into town, they make a positive difference in the lives of the unhappy, closed-minded, intolerant people in The Land of NO.  A humorous and inspiring story about the townspeople who are suspicious of this upbeat, kind, and colorful new family, but in the end, realize their negativity is positively wrong. The illustrations transform from black and white to color as the people embrace change. Great for 6-10-year-olds. There's a Day Out There Look outside your window. What do you see? A ladybug, a butterfly, a cloud, or the sea? Mother nature invites a young boy to learn about the wonderful world waiting outside his window. Great for 4-7-year-olds. Good for encouraging children to go outside and explore nature. Click here to purchase her books in paperback and hardcover.

    Joyce Hutchinson
Literature: Other; Literature: Poetry; Visual Arts; Visual Arts: Other; Visual Arts: Painting; Visual Arts: Photography; art education instructor
I migrated to Jacksonville, June of 2013 and have established myself not just as an artist, but also an art instructor beginning 2014. I have been a lifelong artist, and an art educator since 1998. I manage my own private art school and studio, “Joyce’s Art School”, where I continue to paint, and teach art education to budding artists of all ages, in a personal tutorial style that students love. My lessons are based on the timeless foundations of art and design that are taught in schools and where I take over with individual teaching, and techniques. My school is continually growing where I live in Mandarin. As of February 2021, I'll be adding a second location for classes at the ArtBox gallery in St. Augustine. In creating my art, my subject matter varies as widely as my passions: from historical decorative designs to the realism of florals that I create in oil, acrylic, watercolor, color pencil, and graphite. I have an ongoing love for COLOR! Imagination is the key to art. My work is imbued with the freedom of study and experimentation. I love to focus on creating images that are diverse but maintain elements of nature that breathe life into the art I create. My mission is to encourage the 'what' and 'why' within the viewer, to guide them toward discovering the harmony and humanity that makes this planet so special. For more information on taking my classes or commissions, please contact me at: Phone: 904-735-5747 email: mladyjoy@gmail.com Thank you, Joyce Hutchinson
