    Visual Arts: Photography
Lisa Marie Mannino specializes in landscapes,    alternative camera work, commercial work and special events. Lisa has obtained her Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in photography with a minor in marketing at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. Lisa is looking to expanding her professional portfolio to include, but not limited to: design, fashion, sporting events, product, still life, children, newborns, families, engagements, maternity, head shots and pets. Photography enables Lisa to capture the world in an instant, but it is the manipulation of the photograph that allows her to put the viewer into another world. She likes to use various materials along with experimenting with the developmental process, while pushing the boundaries. Through her work, she then questions, what is a photograph? Photography to Lisa gives her a way to see the world through her lens and present it to others in a way that others might not have realized was there. In April 2018, Lisa published her first book: In Nature’s Arms, which she dedicated to her grandmother. Lisa has works published in the May 2018 Issue of Photographer’s Forum Magazine and was also deemed Honorable Mention, Lisa has one other photograph that was published in Polaris Journal of Arts & Literature, Spring Issue 2018. She has current works showing at University of North Florida, Jacksonville, FL.

  • Rick McAllister
    Rick McAllister
    Visual Arts: Photography
Rick took up photography in 1970 when he returned home from Vietnam. “I had a corporate job in New York City and during my lunch breaks, I would walk down 6th Avenue and stroll through the KODAK gallery. I got hooked, bought my first Canon camera, and the rest as they say, is history.” After 18 years in the corporate world, including a year in the U.S. House of Representatives on a Congressional Assistant Program, Rick followed up with residency in Colorado Springs, in Islamorada (Florida Keys), and here in St. Augustine where he has lived for the past 15 years. His photographic interests have included macro photography, graphic design and layout work, and natural light portrait work. Having a lifelong fascination with Ernest Hemingway, Ansel Adams, and Clyde Butcher, it was an easy transition to photojournalism and documentary photography, and to the creation of his highly acclaimed Olde South Series. This black & white series has been seen in exhibits throughout the South and is a part of private and corporate collections throughout the United States. His lectures on The Olde South Series define him as a “visual historian.” In addition to photography, Rick enjoys scuba diving, standup paddle boarding, riding his Harley, adventure travel, and spending time with his daughter, Lauren, and her family. He recently walked 500 miles across Spain on the Camino de Santiago which he refers to as “one of the great experiences of my life.” “I try not to focus too much on tomorrow because today usually has some great possibilities left.”

Crafts: Glass; Crafts: Jewelry; Visual Arts: Printmaking; Visual Arts: Sculpture
Nature-bound. Born in land-locked Pennsylvania but drawn to the coast. Initially having moved to St. Augustine, Florida to attend Flagler College in 2007; after graduating my enthusiasm for the local environment and inspiration drawn from it, has only grown. I began in the print industry directly after college, as the demand for philosophers during a recession is quite often lower than one would expect (a little humor). While learning the economics & technical skills of producing in the print industry; I had the opportunity of attending First Coast Technical College on full scholarship and graduated top 3 in my class in Aerospace Fabrication. Since graduation, I've been selling commission-based glass sculptures and delegate my print-career to problem solving specialty substrates while working hand-in-hand with local & passionate business owners. If you need a solutions architect that enjoys actively engaging in a learning environment in hopes of achieving the best final result, chances are that we may work well together. Feel free to browse my online Portfolio at www.weston-mcbride.com {Best experience when viewed via desktop} Specialties in Glass: Sculptural Borosilicate torch|bench-working, kiln-work: Fusing, Slumping, Casting, Etc (COE 96), Coldworking: Sandblasting, Glass etching & engraving. Visual Arts; Visual Arts: Painting
Sydney McKenna, Artist Statement: A Florida resident since the age of 11, I am inspired by the environment of my home state. In particular, I am fascinated with evaporation, and how it impacts not just the flora and fauna, but our daily lives as well. It reminds me of the spark of life; a lifting of the physical, into the spiritual. I love the humidity of our southern region, and I am intrigued by how the many transformations of water tie us to other places physically and metaphorically. Sydney McKenna, Bio: Sydney McKenna holds a degree in Visual Arts from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, and attended graduate studies in 1996 at the Cortona, Italy campus of the University of Georgia. She is the recipient of many competitive awards, and her paintings have been featured on the covers of numerous magazines, including “Florida Living Magazine” July, 1992 issue. Four of her paintings were included in Florida’s American Heritage River-Images from the St. Johns Region (2009), a 10 year project surveying the river’s affect on artists from prehistory to contemporary times, written by Mallory O’Connor, Professor Emeritus of Art History at Santa Fe College and Gary Monroe, Professor of Fine Arts and Photography at Daytona State College. Sydney’s paintings are found in corporate, public and private collections, including Capital One’s corporate collection of American art, (McLean, VA), The Museum of Florida Art, (Deland, Florida), The Contrarian Group, and the private collections of Admiral Kevin Delaney (ret.), senatorial candidate/anchor woman (ret) Deborah Gianoulis and Patrice Munsel, retired opera star.

Visual Arts; Visual Arts: Other; mixed media
I have always been creative. I grew up in a family of artists and was surrounded with art all of the time. I dabbled in various means of expression...experimenting a lot, but only found this new world of  what I call 'lyrical abstraction' during the pandemic sequestration. My love of music runs very deep and all of my work is created while immersed in my music. Two of my biggest influences in the visual arts are Kandinsky and Peter Max. When I start working on a new work of art I put in my earbuds and let the muse take me on a trip through my mind. The mixed media work is done with ink, pencil, pastel and acrylic.

    Yvette Monell
Media; Media: Other; Visual Arts; Visual Arts: Other; Visual Arts: Photography; Life Style Photographer
“I never want to be tied down to one particular idea or concept. It takes strategy to reach a particular audience. It’s a God-given talent. You have got to captivate onlookers—give clients the tools to get the audience they want.” -Yvette Monell Yvette Monell is a photographer, graphic designer, and magazine publisher. Her work, of commercial and individual subjects, can be seen locally and nationally. The titles she’s founded and published include St Augustine Magazine, Old City Life, Gallop, and Pittsburgh Style. St Augustine Magazine (SAM) will reemerge digitally Summer 2018 along with her weekly email blast of events and social scene coverage. Other than that; she loves Saint Augustine and its people, has a cat named Bikini Kitty, is an advocate for suffers of Vitiligo, eating and cooking, training horses, she’s pasture-raised, no MSG and gluten-free. Age 19 was when Yvette seriously took on her love of fashion. Working retail sales was not enough to satisfy her passion. About the time she landed the contract to coordinate the Mall Fashion Shows she began working as a fashion-stylist for catalog photographers in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Here she developed a keen eye for the intricate detail, and a clear focus of how film gets developed, what it takes to make a really quality photograph. These were the days of medium format cameras and darkrooms, when it took discipline to get the shot in 12 to 36 frames per roll. Inspired by the most successful fashion photographers in the industry; Bruce Weber, Herb Ritts and Steven Meisel who’s images appeared on the pages of, sometimes five-inch thick, Vogue and ELLE magazines that came by mail. She loved everything about magazines. New fashion trends made always-scouting potential models for runway and print assignments the norm. Working with raw talent evolved into Yvette’s teaching the ‘what-to-dos,’ which lead to she and her husband, also a photographer, opening a modeling agency with a complete photography studio and darkroom. Along came the industry milestone product that changed history, the insanely great Apple Macintosh! Adobe’s Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat paired with the unmistakable tune of dial-up Internet—opened the way to bring creative concepts to fruition. Yvette now had the ability to work with both text and images. To point, click, cut, paste gave freedom to capture and communicate ideas through her photography with the layout of printed pages and websites. She and her husband met a woman with a marketing company the three partnered-up to create Pittsburgh Style Magazine. This was a lifestyle magazine with all original photography and content. They even created the display advertising, collaborating closely with clients to decide how images and text will go together. In addition to their being magazine advertisers many clients contracted to do their company branding from start to finish with the trio. Time and life changes eventually brought her to St. Augustine, FL. When she arrived here there was no city magazine to be had. There was so much to learn about the wonderful Old City so Yvette took an idea, her ten-year-old computer and made it a mission: To reflect St. Augustine’s positive image, inspiring readers to explore their surroundings and create a joyful and meaningful life. Yvette launched Old City Scene magazine in 2006. She changed the title to Old City Life for the magazine’s one-year anniversary. Ruinous personal circumstances lead to the sell of Old City Life magazine in 2013. St Augustine Magazine (SAM) will reemerge digitally Summer 2018 along with her weekly email blast of local events and social scene coverage of Northeast Florida. When it comes to photography her unique approach captures iconic images of local personalities, situations, scenes, and events. She is passionate when creating a custom layout and production design for magazines, advertisements, and logos with an authentic style that communicates ideas of her clients bringing their brand’s voice to life.

Laura Mongiovi is an Associate Professor of Art and Design at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida. She has an MFA from University of Colorado, Boulder and a BFA from Florida State University. Mongiovi's work is a response to cultural artifacts, rituals and beliefs. She investigates the processes, materials and concepts used to create objects, textiles and architecture. Within these diverse approaches to cultivating traditional practices exists a mutual human need to satisfy personal desire. Rare objects, garments laden with color and texture, palaces with lavish gardens and tantalizing sensations of the palate have influenced paradigms of commerce, culture and science. Historical details reveal the common need we have to please the senses. Mongiovi's work pays homage to origins while alluding to personal experience. Mongiovi exhibits her work nationally including solo exhibitions, juried and group shows. She teaches across the curriculum at Flagler College and presents her teaching pedagogy at national conferences. Mongiovi guest lectures about her work and leads workshops.
