Anna Miller is an artist specializing in abstract paintings. She was born and grew up in Ukraine, then settled in St. Johns, Florida after moving to the United States. She is very active in the community and is a practicing and exhibiting artist.
Starting out as an academically trained artist, she later discovered abstract painting.
Despite being very busy with two children, a husband, and work, Anna found a new inspiration for painting and drawing. The visual language of abstract art is a new way of communication for and creating abstract paintings has come to dominate her work.
Anna has had several shows locally and taught workshops for groups of local artists and enthusiasts. She has been a member of several galleries in Jacksonville and was awarded “Best in Show” for her portrait of Pablo by the Saint Augustine Art Association. She developed her own practice – teaching students studying abstract and figurative art. Her work is currently in many private collections. She had been invited on multiple occasions as a guest speaker and judge for statewide art organizations.
Anna has a lengthy history of teaching classes in all levels of Drawing and Painting. She continues teaching varied subjects in Color Theory, Abstract, and Figurative Arts with more than 19 years of teaching experience. Currently, Anna is ranked as an Assistant Professor in Studio Arts/
