Painting a Poetic Vision in Oil and Pastel

I’m influenced by early 20th century landscape painters, searching for a contemplative mood and spiritual connection to the landscape.
Dramatic cloudscapes and the meeting of sky and sea inspire me, but for me, it’s all about the light, the atmosphere, the mystery, the mood.
Perhaps its the moon shimmering on the Atlantic ocean, the dusky glow of the sun on marshes, or dawn breaking on a misty morning…the glow of the “golden hour” and the mystery of “the blue hour”.
I am all about painting a poetic vision.
