Lacey Taylor

A native, I was born in northeast Florida but spent my childhood in the southeast near Ft. Myers Beach on the Gulf Coast. My days were spent crabbing in canals, shelling on beaches, boating near Sanibel and Captiva Islands, building forts in banana trees and day dreaming near marinas and boardwalks.

I would eventually return to Jacksonville near my extended family, attend the University of North Florida for graphic design and advertising, become a website design pioneer at the beginning of the internet and expand into digital marketing.

When I return to south Florida now, I am overwhelmed by the sentimentality and attachment I have to the tropical trees and plants. This emotion and desire to express my gratitude for Florida, inspired my current series. (Photos coming soon.)
