Mezmerized always by the beauty in Nature, I paint in oil on lasting linen canvas, with the aim of recording for the future the raw beauty of our country. Mostly Florida, for this is where I live and love the tropical foliage. History has left its mark, through buildings and other man-made things. Though lovely and impressive, these too are temporary. And also among my favorites to paint. Sometimes it seems that these cypress bogs, oak hammocks, marshes, Wild Oat dunes, which for eons have been home to the critters will not survive the onslought of man. I will at least record them on my canvasses.
