Well known in NE Florida, The Sims remember lazy Southern summer evenings when folks sat on front porches rocking and swapping tales ‘til every child found a lap or pallet, the Jess-amine wilted and the fireflies had gone to bed. They met when Jane was the executive producer of the St. Augustine Storytelling Festival in 1990 and Wayne was the CEO of “Cross and Sword,” Florida’s State Play. After a time they discovered that proverbial spark, married in 1993, and officially became a duo. Since 1994 they have performed in tandem throughout the southeast entertaining audiences at festivals, libraries, schools and retirement communities. Their specialty these days, aside from the humor shows Wayne loves, are carefully researched programs based on ironies found in history.
