Lee Weaver, St. Augustine’s own Actor/Playwright brings his dynamic Lenten -Easter presentation to St. Augustine, at DOS Coffee and Wine, 300 San Marco Ave. St. Augustine, FL, on Sat. March 19, 2016. In ACT I, Judas, the Betrayer has spent a restless night following his betrayal of Jesus in The Garden. The audience finds him dressing and preparing to make his way to the Priests because things are not going as he planned. Exuberant at times and depressed to tears at others, Weaver brings his powerful stage presence to one of the most despicable, some would say, characters in history. In ACT II, Peter, the Big Fisherman tells of discipleship, the Transfigurstion, the Crucifixion, the Glory of the Resurrection and of Pentecost. Weaver has the ability to transport people back to the shores of Galilee, a remarkable performance that coupled with his third Biblical character, Joseph, Husband of Mary has been presented nearly 2000 times since 1983. People will start arriving at 6 pm, to order drinks and food from the menu. Weaver goes on at 7:15 pm. Limited seating. A unique addition: There will be a Q and A with Judas just before “the hanging” and Intermission.
