Figure Drawing 2 Day Workshop with Artist Charley Edelman

For all levels- from seasoned artists to beginners.
Live model the first day- explanation of gesture drawing and developing into longer poses. Second day will be an introduction into figure composition,using drawings from previous day …discuss light/ shadow and working from observation. This will include an introduction into the “masters” & figure drawing.
Students will need to bring:
10×14 inch sketchbook
2H pencil
HB pencil
3B pencil
sharpener
choice of color pencils
or set of 12 oil pastels.
Workshop will be taught by artist Charley Edelman. Charley was a visiting artist at Dartmouth and Parsons School of Design and has taught at the Kansas City Art Institute. He was teaching assistant at Queens College in New York, St.Louis Art Museum, St.Louis Community College and Maryville University. Some of the classes Charley taught were painting, drawing, art appreciation, sculpture, and landscape painting. He also taught workshops at St Louis Art Museum for art teachers of different levels. Charley is currently an exhibiting artist at ArtBox.
