The Art Studio presents: Darlene Scheyer-August's Featured Artist

Please join us at The Art Studio of St. Augustine Beach (next to the St. Augustine Beach Pier) during the First Friday Artwalk, Friday, August 7th to welcome our Featured Artist for August, Darlene Scheyer.  The reception is being held from 6pm-9pm and her work will be showcased for the month of August.

Our Mission Statement: The Art Studio Group, Inc., a non – profit arts organization, dedicates itself to the promotion of art education and visual arts for the residents and visitors of St. Augustine, offering a creative sanctuary for all age groups. Individuals can participate in a visual arts class, develop and exhibit art, exchange ideas and attend special events.

Darlene Scheyer, Augusts’ Featured Artist is an accomplished artist whose works have been exhibited in numerous exhibitions throughout Baltimore and North Florida. A native of Maryland, she majored in fine art at the Maryland Art Institute and University of Maryland and continued her artistic studies through master workshops and private instruction with such noted artists as Roger Bansemer, Lynn Asselta, Richard Lundgren, Kate Miller and Jan Miller…. among others. Upon retiring from a successful career in healthcare management, she became actively involved in the St. Augustine art community, where she assists with gallery operations and exhibition design and installation.  Her works in acrylics, mixed media, encaustics and clay have been juried into many exhibitions and recognized with top awards at the St. Augustine Art Association, and by the Society of Mixed Media Artists. In addition, she is a member of the First Coast Pastel Society and The Art Studio. Her work is continuously evolving.
