The Florida Times Union has declared Chelsea Saddler "The second coming of Joni Mitchell." Old City Life & WFCF have called her "Springsteen-esque." She has been named the daughter of Janis Joplin and the queen of women songwriters - past and present. Her music wears dusty, old leather boots with gravel in the soles and holes worn in the toe. Her ax swings heavy and the blues lives inside of her bones. High energy, electric vibes, with intellectual lyrics, Chelsea is nothing short of a powerhouse performer. As she played a one hour set on NPR's “Roots and Branches” in Tennessee, she described her greatest influences as Lightning Hopkins, Odetta, Leonard Cohen, and her “behind closed doors” musician father. Originally from Jacksonville, FL, Chelsea has been performing in the southeast for the past decade and has released two original albums: “The Restless Windstorm" and "The Gallows."
