Art Studio member and long-time Anastasia Island resident, Nancy Chenoweth Bain, will be our featured artist for November. Nancy's work has been displayed throughout Northeast Florida and Illinois, and she has works in private collections in Chicago and Chalon-sur-Saone, France. She holds several degrees from Southern Illinois University but only started her artistic studies after retirement. Nancy works in watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, and jewelry and continues to take classes and workshops to refine her skills and techniques. She is a member not only of The Art Studio, but also The St. Augustine Art Association, The Jacksonville Watercolor Society, and The Society of Mixed Media Artists. She has been in many exhibitions and won many awards and honors. A reception at The Art Studio of St. Augustine Beach is planned during the First Friday Art Walk, November 6th, from 5:00pm-9:00pm. The Art Studio is available to rent for classes or as meeting space. Membership is offered at just $20.00/year although it is not necessary to become a member to participate in any of the variety of classes offered. Also, don't forget to ask about reserving your exclusive seating during the New Year's Eve Fireworks at the Pier this year!
