Majestic palms, bright blue skies, and breezy beach-scapes!! Come admire the enticingly summery scenes in oil on odd-size canvases by Peter Carolin this First Friday July 6 from 5-9pm at Sea Spirits Gallery on St. George Street.
Peter Carolin is an award winning painter and sculptor. He co-curated and participated in several Florida landscape exhibitions and was co-director of the Winter Fine Art Fair, hosted by the Gainesville Fine Arts Association. Carolin devotes much of his time to fundraising for charitable causes like health, education, nature conservation, and homeless veterans. In 2008, he was named “Artist of the Year” by the Council for Exceptional Children.
Carolin made posters for several art festivals and public radio and television fundraising. His work is collected by corporations, including Golder Associates, Naylor Association Solutions, University of Florida Health, Avmed, Exactech, several bank and financial institutions, and Busch Gardens. His work is also part of over 500 national and international private collections.
Peter Carolin studied art in Detroit, France, and Florida. He is currently adjunct professor at Santa Fe College, Gainesville, FL.
