Found In Translation

Presented by St. Augustine Film Society at Center For Spiritual Living

The St. Augustine Film Society and The Golden Way: Films That Make a Difference are proud to announce the launch of their new foreign film series for teens Found In Translation.. The film series will run for four (4) consecutive Sundays beginning July 22nd at 2 PM at The Center For Spiritual Living, 1795 Old Moultrie Rd.

The films to be shown include “The Eagle Huntress”, “Joyeux Noelle”, “Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon”, and “My Life as a Zucchini”.

The films are high quality G or PG rated feature films produced outside the U.S. to demonstrate to the teens the diversity of world film making. There will be guest speakers prior to each film who will give talks and demonstrations on various skills necessary to produce a film. These talks will include cinematography, lighting, costume design, make-up, and sound effects.

The teens from Middle and High Schools in N.E. FL will then be asked to create their own short films, the best of which will be awarded cash prizes and screened at a public showing later in 2018.

These events are free and open to the public. Funding for “Found In Translation” is provided by The Community Foundation of N.E. Florida and St. Johns Cultural Council. Major funding of The Golden Way is provided by Compassionate St. Augustine. For further information, please contact us at (904) 254-9524 or staugustinefilmsociety@gmail.com.
