Although the holidays are over, the festivities continue when First Coast Opera performs Jacques Offenbach's rollicking comic operetta, La Vie Parisienne, his first full length work to depict contemporary Parisian life.  In this operetta we find jilted lovers plotting a scam...rich tourists arriving in Paris to have a good time...a lavish party where servants dress up as aristocrats...the champagne flows...and everyone gets drunk!  OOH LA LA!!!  A fight is averted...all ends well, with a song to Paris, and love triumps! You won't want to miss this fully staged operetta, sung in French (English supertitles) with dialogue in English by professional opera singers, accompanied by a 15 piece orchestra, all under the baton of Maestro Curtis Tucker, FCO Artistic Director.
