Writing a book is only half the job. The other half is equally or even more important, and involves marketing and sales. According to marketing guru Del Kiernan-Lewis, “A book without readers is just a diary.” Del will present “Book Marketing Basics” at the FWA Ponte Vedra Writers meeting on Saturday, September 22, 10:30 a.m. at the Ponte Vedra Library.

His presentation will walk writers through the most important steps to successfully market and promote their books to readers.  Among the things they will learn are:

• How to produce a book cover that grabs the attention of genre readers
• Proven strategies to use social media, your author website, and a newsletter to boost your book’s discoverability
• Where to advertise for cost-effectiveness and best results
