The Featured Artist at P.A.St.A. Art Gallery for the month of October is Melissa Bashore.  Melissa is a local St. Augustine artist who uses primarily watercolors and water-based acrylic paints to create her bright, playful paintings.  She grew up in Philadelphia and attended the University of Pittsburgh earning a B. A. in Studio Arts.  During that time she was on staff at the Carnegie Museum of Art where she was involved in a large-scale international exhibition in 2005.

Melissa relocated to Northeast Florida in 2006, moving to St. Augustine in 2011.  She is inspired by the natural beauty of the waterways and the vivid tropical landscapes.  Melissa lives in St. Augustine with her husband and two little boys.
