Venardos Circus (www.venardoscircus.com) and its namesake ringmaster Kevin Venardos (veh-NARR-dos) return to the St. Augustine Amphitheatre for 46 performances. The traveling troupe of performers had a successful stint in St. Augustine last January, with 4,200 attendees, 83 percent of tickets sold, 10 consecutive sellouts and 52 percent of the circus attendees coming from outside St. Johns County for 17 performances.

“We felt very welcomed during our shows in St. Augustine and the response was tremendous,” Venardos said. “People from all over the First Coast region enjoyed those shows and the performances at Christ’s Church. We had our best attendance ever during that stint in St. Augustine and it kick-started a national tour with a vast majority of sellouts during the summer of 2018 and beyond. We are very grateful to St. Augustine Amphitheatre General Manager Ryan Murphy and his outstanding staff for being so hospitable. We can’t wait to see more smiling faces there when the big tent goes back up in mid-December.”

The success earlier this year will result in triple the shows when the circus returns. There will be multiple performances daily on weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). There are no performances scheduled for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day.
