In 1975 when U.S. Army veteran Master Drum Major George Carroll lead the East Florida Fife & Drum at the start of the first Night Watch Parade, he couldn't know that one of his students would re-establish the group in 2018 to form Old City Drum Corps.

As founder and Chairman of the Board of the Newly Re-established Old City drum Corps, I was proud to be trained under George Carroll and am honored and excited to share with you our vision for the new Old City Drum Corps.

As a 501-c3 non-profit, tax exempt organization, Old City Drum Corps is an ensemble of period-dressed skilled musicians, whose sole purpose is to educate and encourage community unity through the performance of period musical selections using 18th century authentic replica musical instruments including, but not limited to, hand-crafted, period-correct, rope-tension field drums and hand-crafted, period-correct wooden fifes.

It is our goal to share our musical talents with the citizens of our fair city and with the visitors who come to Saint Augustine to observe its enormous history and culture.  Because we are non-profit, we depend on contributions and grant monies to sustain our mission, to obtain the period correct attire,  musical instruments and a future Junior Fife & Drum Corps.  Old City Drum Corps has no paid employees.  Our talented musicians are independent contractors that receive a small stipend for the benefits they bring to Saint Augustine.

We ask that you consider us when arranging your next event, ceremony or ribbon cutting and provide us with the opportunity to discuss a mutually beneficial relationship.  Or if you prefer, please feel free to make a specific donation for uniforms and or equipment.
