Fort Mose presents an inaugural event that focuses on the wide variety of cultures that have come into contact with this park’s property throughout the last 500 years. Participants will watch historical demonstrations and performances from a large selection of historic and modern day cultures including Muskogee Creek, Coastal Salish, African and Spanish. Children of all ages will enjoy free activities such as Junior Militia Training, crafts and scavenger hunts.
Presenters include Muskogee Creek Jim Sawgrass, Leatherworker Richard Shortlidge, Historian Dr. Roger Smith, St. John’s county Park Naturalist AyoLane Halusky, Potter Linda Buschman and others.. The event is free. To enter the visitor center the fee is $2.00 per adult and children under six are free
