Sarah Miller of Florida Public Archaeology Network will give a presentation at Tolomato Cemetery on the Irish influence in Florida from its earliest days. She will also talk about Irish cemeteries and archaeology based on her recent trip to Ireland.
Sarah Miller, Regional Director of the Florida Public Archaeology Network based at Flagler College, will give a pre-St Patrick's Day talk at Tolomato Cemetery on the Irish in Florida, including the many Irish folk buried at Tolomato Cemetery, some of them very important in Florida's history.
In addition, she will give us a look at Irish cemeteries and discuss archaeological work in Ireland.
Following the presentation, a special tour will be offered to introduce visitors to this lesser known aspect of St. Augustine's history.
