The St. Augustine Community Chorus Masterworks performance will be at the Ancient City Baptist Church, 27 Sevilla St., in St. Augustine and features selections from known American composers from the twentieth and twenty-first century. Composers will include the University of Florida's own Paul Basler, Randall Thompson, Samuel Barber, Aaron Copland, Paul Halley, and visiting guest composer Gwyneth Walker. Two selected works, A Jubilant Song by Norman Dello Joio and Alleluia by Randall Thompson, will be performed by a Chamber Choral. The chorus, led by Music Director Mike Sanflippo, will be accompanied by French horn, violin soloists and a chamber orchestra. Gwyneth Walker, visiting composer, will again be available for personal interviews. Performances by the St. Augustine Community Chorus are highly anticipated and recognized for the quality of the choral music chosen for its audiences.
