The Box

Presented by Lee Weaver Special OPS at Center for Spiritual Living

In "The Box,"  “Jack” is a homeless Viet Nam War veteran who lives in a box in a wooded area of St. Augustine. He has been “on the move” since 1968. He is coaxed out of his box by Ms. Sandy Shores (Lee’s wife, Nanette) who, after some testy negotiation and boundary settings, persuades Jack  to participate in an interview with her for WGAC Radio.  Jack is a philosopher and a humorist, a lover, a fighter and a theologian and all of  his engaging conversation with Ms. Shores  about "homelessness" comes through his tortured mind for he suffers from PTSD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Bob Feldheim, St. Augustine Record:Weaver commands the stage for two intense, brilliant, soul- and society-searing hours, in two acts, recounting his story. It’s an unforgettably emotional powerhouse, mind-bending experience, theatrical work of towering genius. See Lee Weaver's FB page: Lee Weaver Special OPS  Now a movie, "The Box" was accepted for competition at Sundance Film Festival.
