Mosaics by Manila Clough depicting Florida Native Birds paired with Florida Native Plants will be shown at the St Johns County Administration Building Rotunda. The Opening is Tuesday, June 4, 8:15-9:00 a.m., refreshments, meet the artist!
The Community Foundation of Northeast Florida awarded Manila an Art Ventures Grant. Manila's Grant Project was to create four mosaics, each 2'x3', depicting Florida Native Birds and Plants. She chose a Florida Brown Pelican with Railroad Vine, Roseate Spoonbill with White American Waterlily,
Great White Heron with Spatterdock and Great Blue Heron with Yellow American Waterlily. The mosaics will each be donated to a St Johns County Elementary School. Manila includes artwork from students representing the four elementary schools: Southwoods, Picolata Crossing, Osceola and Webster. The show at the Rotunda, Art in Public Spaces, is sponsored by the St Johns Cultural Council and is Free and Open to the public.
