Come meet Rosanne Colvard, P.A.St.A. Gallery's September Featured Artist.  Rosanne is a multi-disciplinary artist who paints, creates prints (eco prints, intaglio, lithographs, woodcuts), mixed media, and collage.

Colvard relocated to St. Augustine from Maryland five years ago, after retiring from Federal Express.  Prior to working for Federal Express, she taught art at Annapolis Senior High School and studied printmaking with Alan Kaneshiro at the National Collection of Find Arts (now the National Portrait Gallery) in D. C.

Rosanne was a founding member of the Washington Women's Printmaking group.  Her Master of Arts degree was obtained from the University of Maryland.

Her award-winning art has been shown at the Baltimore Museum of At, the Salamagundi Print Club in NYC, and numerous galleries in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Washington, D. C., and Massachusetts.  Colvard's love of nature and color are evident in her art as well as her passion for abstraction and interest in working with new Materials--aluminum, Washi paper, silk and papyrus.

The show's opening will coincide with the First Friday Art Walk, September 6, from 5-9 p.m. at P.A.St.A. Art Gallery, 214 Charlotte Street, St. Augustine.  904-824-9251.  Admission is always free.  Refreshments served.
