Holly Iglesias is a poet, translator, and author of the poetry collections: Sleeping Things, Angles of Approach, and Souvenirs of a Shrunken World, as well as the chapbook, Hands-on Saints, and Boxing Inside the Box: Women's Prose Poetry, a critical work.

Virgil Suarez, professor at Florida State University, is the author of Latin Jazz, Havana Thursdays, Going Under, You Come Singing, Landscapes & Dreams, and 90 Miles.

 

Hispanic Heritage Week: Carolina Hospital & Marisella Veiga Readings

Carolina Hospital, professor at Miami Dade College, is a novelist, poet and essayist. She is the author of The Child of Exile, and Key West Nights & Other Aftershocks. Most recently, her work appeared in the Norton Anthology of Latino Literature.

Marisella Veiga writes in various genres and teaches writing as well as Cuban home cooking.  Her first book is We Carry Our Homes with Us:  a Cuban American Memoir (Minnesota Historical Society Press 2016). Her short fiction has been widely anthologized, most recently in Sudden Fiction Latino:  Short Short Stories from the United States and Latin America.
