Historic Timeline

Presented by Historic Florida Militia at Colonial Quarter

It's been a while since the Historic Florida Militia has had a History on the Streets Saunter. Though they aren’t quite ready to do a Saunter, the Historic Florida Militia will be doing the next best thing. On Saturday, September 26, the living history community will be presenting a historic timeline at the Colonial Quarter.  Authentically clad historical interpreters will be on-site to share the rich and diverse history we all love. Through the use of a "history timeline," historians will speak with visitors and residents about Saint Augustine's past, all the way back to its founding in 1565.

The one-on-one personal discussions are fun for visitors, many of which know that Saint Augustine is the Nation's Oldest City but don't know much about the city's incredible history. Get a glimpse of what St. Augustine was like between 1565 and 1786 with musket firings, a crossbow demonstration, and conversations with interpreters.
