The St. Augustine Music Festival is excited to announce the first of its Sunday afternoon concerts. In honor of Black History and Women’s History months, the first concert will feature beautiful music from African-American and women composers.

Wu Man (leading Ambassador of Chinese music and Pipa virtuoso): Turpan Dance
Jessie Montgomery (up and coming African-American composer): STRUM for String Quartet
William Grant Still (the "Dean of African-American composers”): Danzas de Panama (1948)
Florence Price (African-American composer): Juba from String Quartet

The musicians and board of the St. Augustine Music Festival are dedicated to bringing world-class music to diverse audiences, and to elevate, educate and entertain through the inspiring power of music. The first two concerts are in collaboration with the Women’s Exchange of St. Augustine and the third concert with the St. Augustine Art Association.
