Our First Friday, July 2nd Artist of the Month will showcase Member Melodye Stimpel. Her love of color and texture has developed into many styles and themes over the years. In daily life, she is a clinical research professional who runs global trails from her St. Augustine home office that also functions as her art studio.

Melodye is constantly researching new methods to incorporate into her art. Her focus shifts from time to time, meandering between watercolor, pastels, oils, pallet work, and even some pen & ink. More recently, most of her work is in acrylics using a pour method, then embellishing with a brush. She often incorporates elements of the natural world in her art, including leaf prints, sea fans, and shells.

Her works and the Member’s Show Opens with a reception Friday evening from 5 PM until 8 PM. Stop by The Art Studio at St. Augustine Beach for a beverage and snacks and meet the artist. The show runs through July.
