The Ancient City Poets will host a community open mic reading on Sunday, October 31st from 3:00 to 4:30 at Kookaburra's Dondanville location.

Readers are invited to share poems about harvest, Halloween, and other horrors. Books by local authors will be awarded in three categories: best dead poet, most creative, and best teen.

A sign-up sheet will be available at 2:30 and the open mic will start at 3:00. Readers will be called to the podium in the order their names appear on the list. The mic will be turned off at 4:30 to allow the last 30 minutes for a meet and greet and networking.

As a community of poets and poetry lovers, ACP has been gathering on the last Sunday of the month in Saint Augustine, Florida since August of 2009.
