Fort Mose Historic State Park welcomes Gregory Porter on February 24 for the inaugural Fort Mose Jazz & Blues Series.
In February 2022, Fort Mose Historic State Park will be the host of the inaugural Fort Mose Jazz & Blues Series to honor the history and celebrate the cultural significance of Fort Mose. The Fort Mose Jazz & Blues Series will comprise six unforgettable performances over three weeks from some of the biggest names in their respective genres.
We’d tell you Gregory Porter is back, but you probably already knew. You probably felt the earth rumbling, announcing the man’s bone-deep baritone, or you felt the air change as the warmth of his sound filled the atmosphere like a hug from above. That’s because All Rise, his sixth studio album, marks a return to Porter’s beloved original songwriting — heart-on-sleeve lyrics imbued with everyday philosophy and real-life detail, set to a stirring mix of jazz, soul, blues, and gospel.
Gregory Porter will perform at Fort Mose Historic State Park on February 24, 2022, at 7 PM for the inaugural Jazz & Blues Fest. Tickets start at $70 and are available to purchase here.
The Fort Mose Jazz & Blues Series is produced by the St. Johns County Cultural Events Division, which operates The St. Augustine Amphitheatre and Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, with support from St. Johns County Tourist Development Council, St. Augustine Distillery, St. Johns Cultural Council, Fort Mose Historical Society, and Flying Saucer Presents.
