Una Noche de Navidad & Las Posadas at Mission ...

Una Noche de Navidad & Las Posadas at Mission ...

Presented by Historic Florida Militia at Mission Nombre de Dios

For over 400 years, the colonial Hispanic Christmas tradition of Las Posadas has been celebrated by processions throughout the New World.  The event is a re-enactment of Mary and Joseph’s search for lodgings (Spanish: “posadas”) in Bethlehem on the first Christmas Eve.

Una Noche de Navidad is back again this year… for two nights!

Our Lady of La Leche invites you to experience the joy of Christmas. Bring your family and friends for a truly silent night on the Sacred Acre, complete with a Live Nativity, Eucharistic Adoration, cookies and hot cocoa, and a 16th-Century Spanish procession of “Las Posadas” (the Inns), presented by Historic Florida Militia.

“Las Posadas” commemorates St. Joseph and the Blessed Virgin Mary in Bethlehem looking for a safe refuge where Mary could give birth to the baby Jesus. This is a great opportunity for families to come together amidst the hustle and bustle of the holidays, to remember the true reason for the season!

December 18 & 19 from 5-9 PM.

**Reservation is required ONLY for the “Las Posadas” Procession. All guests may participate in the Live Nativity, cookies & hot cocoa, and Eucharistic Adoration without a reservation. Admission is FREE!**

Tickets will be available beginning Saturday, November 6, 2021. To make your “Las Posadas” Reservation click here.
