Watch history come to life.
Friday evening , March 3rd, the historic reenactment community (through a partnership between the Historic Florida Militia and the St. Johns Cultural Council) will host another "History on the Streets" saunter along Saint George Street and St. Augustine's historic district. However, this saunter will be a little different. To coincide with the Searle’s Sack of St. Augustine event, all the living history interpreters will be dressed in their 17th century garb. Think 3 musketeers and that what they will look like.
As usual, authentically clad historical interpreters will walk around the city to share the rich and diverse history of the nation's oldest city, but this time with an emphasis on the year 1668. That’s when Capt. Robert Searle attack St. Augustine. Guests are invited to take photos and ask questions.
This event is free and open to the public.
