Watch history come to life.
Saturday evening July 9th from 5:30-8:30 PM, the interpreters from Historic Florida Militia's reenactment community conduct a History on the Streets Saunter to share the rich and diverse story of St. Augustine.
Interpreters wearing historically accurate apparel from the Colonial Period (Centuries 16-18) will stroll St. George Street and the surrounding historic district to speak with visitors and residents alike about the city's story dating back to its founding in 1565.
Guests are encouraged to take photographs and ask questions. This event is free and open to the public with support from the City of St. Augustine and the St. Johns Cultural Council.
The saunter will begin at the Spanish Bakery.
Everyone is invited to watch but if you think you might like to join the saunter, contact the Historic Florida Militia on Facebook.
This event is free and open to the public.
