A Light Seeking Being: Photographer Lenny Foster

A Light Seeking Being: Photographer Lenny Foster

Presented by St. Johns County Public Library - Main Library at The Waterworks

Friends of the Main Library St. Augustine welcomes talented fine art photographer Lenny Foster to share his artistic journey, including his relocation to St. Augustine from Taos, New Mexico.

In this presentation, Lenny reveals his process for several different series of work, including his ethereal Botanical Works, Healing Hands, Street Saints, and the viscerally stirring Where We Stand, a series that was selected by the St. Johns Cultural Council in 2022 for its Art in Public Spaces program. He will also highlight work included in his three published books.

This program is free, open to the public, and will take place at The Waterworks, 184 San Marco Ave., which shares a parking lot with the Main Library. Seating begins at 1:00 PM, and the presentation starts promptly at 2:00 PM. No reservations are required. For more information, please email bmaycumber@sjcfl.us or call the Main Library at 904-827-6940.

Lenny Foster 's work is on view in New Mexico institutions such as the Harwood Museum, the Albuquerque Museum, and the Hubbard Museum of the American West. In addition, his work is included in the permanent collections of the Muhammed Ali Center in Louisville, Kentucky, The Ross Museum at Ohio Wesleyan University, Oklahoma University's College of Allied Health, The Snite Museum of Art at The University of Notre Dame, and in many private collections worldwide. He is the owner of Gallery One Forty Four, located in downtown St. Augustine.
