Colonial Children in La Florida - Story Time and Crafts

Colonial Children in La Florida - Story Time and Crafts

Presented by Florida Living History at Fort Mose Historic State Park

The Fort Mose experience comes alive for children as a resident of Fort Mose tells them stories of what it was like to be a child growing up in 1738 at Fort Mose and in St. Augustine. Presented by Florida Living History, Inc., Fort Mose Historic State Park, and the Fort Mose Historical Society, young visitors may also make themselves a leather beaded necklace or bracelet, an ornament from tin, or a colonial tricorn hat. For the adventurous souls thinking of a military career, there is chance to learn about flintlock muskets and drill along with the soldiers and militiamen of Spanish Florida.
