Mary Hubley Opens New Toescape Art Exhibition

Mary Hubley Opens New Toescape Art Exhibition

Presented by Mary Hubley Studio at Hubley Gallery

Hubley Gallery will be featuring Mary Hubley's new Toescape collection of paintings on First Friday Artwalk.  An established modern contemporary impressionist painter, Hubley's paintings combine dramatic composition with soft edges and warmth.

What are toescapes? While landscapes are what you see when you look out at the horizon, toescapes are what you see when you look down. They explore the hidden world at your toes. Close up and tactile, toescapes are paintings of objects sitting at your feet - autumn leaves, beach rocks, seashells, soft mosses, and lily pads; precious keepsakes you might place in your pocket during a walk at the beach or in the woods.

Mary Hubley's toescapes look spectacular in contemporary spaces that need a boost of warmth and intimacy. They bring rejuvenating nature walks home with you to enjoy forever.

While Mary specializes in toescape paintings, she is also an avid plein air artist, painting outdoor landscapes whenever she can. She is an award-winning artist, most recently receiving first place in a Smithsonian Waterways Plein Air exhibition. Mary Hubley's paintings have made their way into fine art collections all over the world.

Hubley Gallery is a fine art gallery that features local and regional artists. It showcases paintings, sculpture, pottery, and artisan jewelry, and offers art classes. The gallery features professional framing through St. Augustine Framing, with a selection of over 2,000 frames.
