Join us for an evening with poet Lauren Tivey, as she reads from her new, full-length poetry collection, Traveler in the Sunset Clouds (Main Street Rag Publishing, September 2022). The reading will be followed by a book signing and will take place on Monday, November 14th, at 7 PM in the Flagler Room at Flagler College.

Tivey is the author of four chapbooks, most recently Moroccan Holiday (The Poetry Box, 2020) which was the winner of The Poetry Box Chapbook Prize 2019. Other titles are The Breakdown Atlas & Other Poems (Big Table Publishing, 2011); Her Blood Runs through Me (Howlin’ Wolf Press, 1996); and Dance of the Fire Horse (Howlin’ Wolf Press, 1993).

Her upcoming publication next winter is a collaborative poetry-photography anthology, Fire Carousel (Main Street Rag Publishing, 2023), created with poets Liz Robbins, Virginia Chase Sutton, and Airea Johnson, and photographer Nikole Tucker, on the theme of mental health awareness.

Tivey is a three-time Pushcart Prize nominee, and Best of the Net nominee; her work has appeared in South Florida Poetry Journal, Saw Palm, Connotation Press, and Split Lip Magazine, among dozens of other publications in the US and UK After much international travel, including a six-year stint living in China, she now resides in St. Augustine, Florida, where she teaches English and Creative Writing at Flagler College.
