The exhibit is on display for the entire month of September with an artist talk on September 2nd at 6 PM for First Friday Art Walk.

Per Hans Romnes has been a lifelong artist/photographer, and a promoter of Arts Education his entire adult life. His relentless enthusiasm and curiosity result in varied and often surprising presentations of his photography. Per is always exploring and pushing the boundaries of photography. Assemblages, overlapping images, and sculptures regularly turn up in his work. October’s collection on display is aptly titled “As I See It.” This display features unique images from his travels around the world that visually demonstrate his personal approach and vision to the medium of photography. Several of his St. Augustine Art Association 2D and 3D award-winning works will be in the gallery as well.

Per Hans Romnes holds a BS Degree in Art Education from the University of Wisconsin, and an MFA Degree in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Since his retirement after a 30-year career as an art/photography teacher in Volusia County and his move to the St. Augustine area he has been an active participant in numerous local arts organizations, and a multi-time winner of awards from the St. Augustine Art Association. He has continued his lifelong passion for the promotion of the arts by serving as a juror for area art exhibitions and most recently as a workshop leader for area art teachers.
