Amiro Art & Found presents New Orleans artist Matteo Neivert. A new solo exhibit of paintings, "Roots" will explore plants, evolution, the ocean, Earth and its elements---both real and imaginary. Neivert, a self-described "magical realist", is inspired by the strength and fragility of nature. His paintings in "Roots" range from the serene--a series of haunting landscapes of icebergs adrift in the ocean at dusk--to the whimsical, with a study of exotic seashells skimming the sky. Neivert is art director at Maloney Productions and an adjunct assistant professor at Tulane University. His work has been exhibited at the Exploratorium museum in San Francisco, l-20 Gallery in NY city and the Alexander Brest Museum and Gallery in Jacksonville, Fl.
