A modern romantic comedy about a marriage and a dog.
As Mr. Gurney notes, the play has a "timely message of the need to connect in an increasingly alien and impersonal world. 'There is a need to connect, not only to a dog but to other people through the dog.'"
A street-smart mixture of Lab and poodle, Sylvia becomes a major bone of contention between husband and wife. She offers Greg an escape from the frustrations of his job and the unknowns of middle age. To Kate, Sylvia becomes a rival for affection. Sylvia is sure to work her way into your heart.
The cast includes: Joseph Stearman as Greg, Jessica Racaniello as Kate, David Abraham plays 3 different characters, and Cameron Maxwell in the title role of Sylvia.
