St. Johns Reads Author Event: Chef Edward Lee, Buttermilk Graffiti

Join SJCPLS for a special St. Johns Reads event featuring the author of the 2023 book pick! Chef Edward Lee will discuss his book Buttermilk Graffiti: A Chef’s Journey to Discover America’s New Melting-Pot Cuisine, talk about his writing process, and explore his passion for food and culture.

St. Johns Reads is the St. Johns County Public Library System’s annual “one book, one community” event focused on creating a shared conversation on a selected novel. In its 18th year, the 2023 event features a variety of programs on Buttermilk Graffiti, by Edward Lee, available to enjoy in print, digital audiobook, and eBook formats.

Edward Lee is the author of Smoke & Pickles and Buttermilk Graffiti; chef/owner of 610 Magnolia in Louisville, Kentucky; and culinary director of Succotash in National Harbor, Maryland, and Penn Quarter, Washington, DC. He appears frequently in print and on television, including earning an Emmy nomination for his role in the Emmy Award-winning series The Mind of a Chef. Most recently, he wrote and hosted the feature documentary Fermented. He lives in Louisville and Washington, DC, and you can find him on Instagram and Twitter @chefedwardlee.
